Our Board Members play an important role in the governance, leadership and strategic direction of the Credit Union. Nina and Rich’s long history as dedicated school employees, Credit Union Members and volunteers will help us continue our commitment to building the future for our Members and supporting their financial well-being. Their backgrounds and experience will enhance our ability to serve all school employees throughout California.”

“We’re pleased that Mrs. Boyd and Mr. De Nava have accepted positions as Members of our Board of Directors. They are both dedicated leaders in the educational community committed to many of the same principles of inclusion and helping to build stronger communities that we share at the Credit Union. They demonstrate a duty and dedication to their school district’s missions and a strong belief in values we practice at the Credit Union,” added Bill Cheney, President/CEO SchoolsFirst FCU. “Mrs. Boyd and Mr.    De Nava will bring a diversity of thought and experience that will benefit all Members.”

Mrs. Boyd began her volunteer service with SchoolsFirst FCU in 2014 on the Education Foundation Board. The two new Directors replace Lynn April Hartline, who retired from her role on the Board, and Theresa Matista, who recently passed away.

“We’re grateful for Mrs. Hartline and Mrs. Matista’s long history of service to the Board,” said Cheney. “Their commitment to the Credit Union and seeing all Members thrive is a great testament to their immense experience, skills, knowledge and education that help deliver on our mission to provide financial security for school employees and their families. We could not be more appreciative to each for their years of service to the Credit Union and our Members.”
